March 29, 2009

We enjoyed the show Friday night at the coffee house. The Coffee House gives us an opportunity for a fun cheap night out with the family. We of course clap loudly when our son is on stage. Our son was the young boy who played Doc Watson. Everyone is so supportive to new artists.
We love your upbeat style using traditional instruments. I also liked your Gospel Songs but what I like the most about your group is how you mix things up. Never a dull moment!
We hope you are back in Roanoke soon. Thank you again for a great time.

Ellen Broughman

March 27, 2009

Clinton, always a joy and a pleasure to share a stage with you and Saturday night was no exception; you definitely added a bit of class to Mark Spangler's tunes by backing him up at the Spare 'Oom and I'm sure he would agree. Already looking forward to the next time - blessings on you, brother.

Clinton - doubt that you'll remember me because it's been a while. When Sister's fist opened in '98 or so, I used play (as best as I could at the time with my daughter. We were there around the time you released Moth and Rust. Well, since then, I've studied extensively under Jorma Kaukonen, Roy Bookbinder, Jack Casady, Happy Traum and Chris Smither. At age 55 I've trimmed down my professional job to devore time to my music and short stories. If you remember me at all, could you suggest some places that could used an acoustic player. I have a repertoire of about 113 songs ranings from Geroge Gerschwin to George Harrison and George Jones. .... If you don't remember me maybe I could come and listen to you sometime as you might remember my face. And even if you don't I would love to hear your work again. thanks .... ned bane

Hi Clinton,
I could never express enough thanks for the friendship and kindness you have shown my brother. (Terry) He absolutely loved working on the CD. Everytime I visited my dad during his illness Terry would drag me out to his vehicle to listen to the demo. (over and over:). We found much comfort in those songs that reminded us so much of dad. What a blessing these songs carry underneath the music and words. Many blessings to you and your family. Also, please tell Patti that I said hello.
Be Blessed, Sherry
